Set in post-war Los Angeles during Hollywood’s Golden Age, this detective adventure follows Cole Phelps, an LAPD detective. Amid corruption and rising crime, he investigates arson, robberies, racketeering conspiracies, and brutal murders, pursuing secrets that reach into his own department. The cases draw inspiration from real events in 1947.
The player examines crime scenes, looks for evidence, and works through cases, combining detective work with action sequences. Observation and attention to suspects’ faces are central to the investigations: facial animation conveys nuances of actors’ performances, making interrogations part of the search for truth in a city where everyone has something to hide.

For L.A.Noire, the developers recreated part of the city of Los Angeles in the late 40s. The city is really huge and beautiful, however, during the story missions we will not see even a third of its beauty, but there is a free mode in which you can explore the real sights of Los Angeles, collect films and badges for achievements, or accept calls from the dispatcher and investigate street crimes.
The plot here is exciting, with a couple of unexpected twists and two intersecting storylines. A leisurely passage will take 20-25 hours. Unfortunately, the last of the five parts of the plot turned out to be a little boring, but the last task is worth it.

Город действительно огромный и красивый, правда, во время сюжетных заданий мы не увидим и трети его красот, но зато тут есть свободный режим, в котором можно исследовать реальные достопримечательности Лос-Анджелеса, собирать киноленты и значки для достижений или же принимать вызовы диспетчера и расследовать уличные преступления.
Сюжет здесь захватывающий, с парой неожиданных поворотов и двумя пересекающимися сюжетными линиями. Неторопливое прохождение займет 20-25 часов. К сожалению, последняя из пяти частей сюжета получилась несколько скучной, но последнее задание того стоит.

Gorgeous toy! I recommend it to all fans of detective stories and interactive films. Great plot and varied gameplay. Thanks to facial animation, it remains one of the best games in the genre to this day!
