A card-based strategy game inspired by Magic: The Gathering, it combines card duels with a campaign set in the fantasy world of Shandalar. The player travels through randomly generated lands, fights opponents, and collects cards to build stronger decks. The campaign leads to battles against five wizards representing different colors and the planeswalker Arzakon, whose deck uses all five.

In duels, players take turns casting creature-summoning spells and playing cards with various effects. Victory goes to the first player to reduce the opponent’s life total to zero. A separate mode offers battles against computer-controlled opponents; players can build their own decks for duels or use randomly generated ones.
