This tower-defense strategy game is set in Japan during the Sengoku era, when civil war has torn the country apart. Samurai forces defend a castle from a demonic assault as the player deploys infantry, archers, and other units, fending off waves of enemies and confronting giant demons.
The castle can be developed from a campsite into a fortified base with barricades and turrets. Successful defense and victories over boss demons can bring new samurai commanders to the cause, each with distinct abilities; units also advance to elite classes as they gain levels. Mystical Guardian Spirits join the battle, growing more powerful as the fortress improves. The visual style draws on Japanese ukiyo-e and sumi-e painting.
