This baseball management simulation follows the work of a Major League Baseball general manager, from spring training through a full season, the playoffs and the World Series. The player builds a roster, replaces aging veterans with rookies, scouts the minor leagues, makes trades and competes to sign posted players from Japan. Oakland Athletics general manager Billy Beane provides advice and guidance.

Career Mode spans up to 30 years, with progress in the manager’s knowledge and skills earning points to improve different areas of team management. Online Fantasy Mode lets managers compete head-to-head in a custom league, with up to 30 participants.
