This cooperative first-person survival horror shooter is set in a world collapsing under an unknown disease that turns the dead into the walking undead. Small groups of survivors try to fight their way to safety through teamwork, while other people can pose a threat as well.

Up to eight players can join a co-op session. Objectives on mission maps vary between playthroughs, while Survival mode tasks the team with defending and maintaining a shelter until extraction. Weapons and ammunition are scarce, and the limited HUD and lack of a permanent crosshair make careful aiming important. A bite can lead to infection, leaving the character to decide whether to tell the team or keep it secret.
