Open Waters

Atmospheric horror about survival in the endless ocean, centered around feelings of loneliness and fear of the depths. The game focuses on thalassophobia, constantly making you feel vulnerable to the dark water, where something unknown lurks beneath the surface.

The absence of a familiar interface enhances immersion: you have to navigate using a compass, sounds, sonar, and the starry sky. The journey across the ocean involves searching for abandoned structures, resources, and clues that gradually reveal the path to the final goal. Waves rock the boat, storms hinder navigation, and any fall overboard turns into a real nightmare — especially when silhouettes of creatures start moving underwater, which are better left undisturbed. The upgrade system allows you to modernize the boat and equipment, helping you dive deeper into the dangerous and eerily empty world.
