The DS features a "clamshell" design with two LCD screens, with the lower screen being touch-sensitive to stylus or finger input, which is utilized in many games for the DS. Since 2005, Nintendo has worked to ensure the best ratings and quality of games for the DS. It exists in four variations (DS, Lite, DSi, XL). Worldwide sales of the DS reached 146.42 million units.
