I'd seen enough of the enthusiastic rants about a cozy, meditative indie gem and picked up this Potion Craft, only to find myself with the most dismal cash-grab in a while. The first couple of hours are truly fun, twirling a pestle and mortar and enjoying the medieval art, but once the initial charm wears off, the harsh truth emerges: there's no alchemy here, it's just a neutered browser-based navigation app. Potion-making boils down to sitting and drawing a route on a 2D map with ugly plantain lines, engaging in idiotic pixel-hunting just to get the potion to land perfectly in the right spot. The game has a blatantly lacking plot, the economy is broken, and the entire gameplay devolves into a monotonous Groundhog Day: wake up, strip the garden, spend three hours calling out the same idiot… Read full
Насмотрелся я на восторженные сопли про уютную медитативную инди жемчужину и взял этот Potion Craft, а по итогу получил самый унылый прогрев на бабло за последнее время. Первые пару часов ты действительно весело крутишь пестик в ступке и кайфуешь от средневековой рисовки, но как только первичное очарование спадает, всплывает суровая правда: тут нет никакой алхимии, это просто кастрированный браузерный навигатор. Всё зельеварение сводится к тому, чтобы сидеть и уродливыми линиями от подорожников вырисовывать маршрут на 2D карте, занимаясь дебильным пиксельхантингом, лишь бы баночка ровно попала в нужную точку.
