The action takes place at a checkpoint in post-apocalyptic Chicago. The player must hold the defense for thirty days until the army arrives. The gameplay combines checking documents of survivors and defending the outpost from waves of infected. The prologue introduces the first four days of the story campaign. Between attacks, it is necessary to gather resources, upgrade weapons, and repair the vehicle. The main character's ultimate goal is to save his younger brother.
