The mod was tested for dozens of hours before release on dozens of systems, showing no negative impact on performance or other aspects.
- Complete rework of spawn times for NPCs in the open world for better game pacing and prevention of no-break moments at key points;
- Complete rework of the event system and alife rendering scenarios for more varied and realistic moments;
- Almost a complete rework of the lair system for more believable population dispersion in the zone with better expansion chances based on faction lore;
- When this mod is used with other large modifications like MHM, Desolation, or Infinity, roaming traders and NPCs will also have the new items introduced by these mods;
- Extended offline time for longer simulation outside of render;
- Further improvement of pathfinding and interaction with the environment (based on reworked scenarios and the additional letswoolsgather engine mod).
Complete feature only:
- Partial rework of some faction daily schedules and some hub routines for more variation in the zone;
- Adjustments to the needs of each faction, some factions will now never sleep like Monolith and instead keep having monologues with themselves, or always on patrol like the military, Freedom are now noticeable chain smokers due to their nature to the zone, etc.;
- Adjustments to the reputation system to be more fitting with existing and new features and have a more lasting impact on player relations;
- Adjustments to the squad compositions (e.g., more snipers or more specialized squad roles for certain factions, OR even mixed faction roaming squads!);
- Progression-based unlock system including but not limited to: squad sizes, mechanics, NPC types;
- Immersive patrols and the ability to trade with said patrols. Beware: some NPCs will have a lock symbol when talked to, this is normal, you can still trade in this state by pressing E (thanks to Talk and Trade To Anyone v2 integration);
- Patrol squad adjustments to also include rare professions patrolling with them (thanks to Roaming Professions — Expanded Trade Inventory v2 integration);
- Unique adjusted standalone main mods packed with 2 other a-life extension mods;
- And tons more changes/QoL adjustments to get the most out of the current a-life.
Compatibility:
- Works with almost all mods (that are updated and maintained), for 2 of them it doesn't see optional files;
- No merge required;
- Load order does not matter;
- Effects are instant;
- Compatible with new and mid saves;
- Easy install at any time;
- Easy uninstall at any time.
How to run:
- Download the main mod archive;
- Extract the pak file from the archive;
- Place the pak file into the mods folder located at: \Steam\steamapps\common\S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Heart of Chornobyl\Stalker2\Content\Paks\~mods;
- If there is no mods folder, create one named ~mods.
How to uninstall:
- Just remove the mod from the mods folder.
