This first-person action game based on the Samurai Warriors series is set in feudal Japan, where the player fights as a samurai. Musou Mode follows an adventure made up of missions, including repelling pirates, rescuing maidens from a burning castle, and exploring caverns inhabited by ninjas. Legendary samurai and their allies guide the player through the missions.
Combat features swords, spears, bows, and rifles, alongside horseback riding. Trial Mode offers a range of challenges, while eight mini-games let two players compete. Missions also involve avoiding traps and exploring castles. Scores and battle records can be saved with a Mii.
