Soulframe's Open Preludes Alpha Test Opens to All PC Players on November 6
After months of invite-only testing, Soulframe's Preludes alpha will be available to every PC player on November 6, and no invitation or key will be required to join the free-to-play fantasy game Soulframe.
Players can sign up on the official Soulframe website and download Digital Extremes' launcher. The paid Founders program will remain available, but purchasing access will no longer be necessary. Newcomers will be able to catch up by playing the 16 Preludes chapters already released. The game is not available on Steam, and console versions have not been announced.

Digital Extremes president says blindly following player demands can make a game lose its identity
In a new interview, Digital Extremes president Sheldon Carter pointed to Warframe as an example of why studios should not turn every player request into a mandate. Speaking on The Game Business Show, Carter said that if developers literally follow every demand, a project can quickly lose its identity, and he compared that to a blogger eating 100 Big Macs for subscribers and damaging his health.
