This space strategy game with diplomacy elements centers on a threat to the universe. Deep in space, in the Kessari Quadrant, the player discovers an impending catastrophe and sets out to save thousands of worlds and billions of lives. Star Control 3 continues the series with a story about an intergalactic crisis and an effort to prevent the destruction of civilizations.
The player explores space, interacts with different alien races, and addresses problems through diplomacy. Negotiations offer several ways to resolve conflicts, while each race has its own behavior, goals, and motives. The player’s choices and relations with the inhabitants of the galaxy shape the effort to save the worlds.
