Svoboda 1945: Liberation

The story unfolds in a small village called Svoboda on the Czech-German border, where the main character arrives to investigate a long-standing conflict. However, it soon becomes clear that its roots go back to the war years and the era of the establishment of the communist regime, and among the evidence found, a photograph of his own grandfather unexpectedly appears.

The investigation is built on conversations with witnesses of historical events, whose fates have been forever changed by war, resettlements, and political repression. Every decision in the dialogues affects the development of the story and helps gradually restore the picture of the past. Atmospheric mini-games allow players to experience the memories of witnesses, revealing tragic episodes through everyday activities and personal stories. The game explores themes of memory, guilt, reconciliation, and complex moral questions that do not always have a clear answer.
