A top-down shooter inspired by 1980s action films follows John Strong as he uncovers the truth behind the events of classic movies. The game can be played solo or with a team of up to four, with six heroes to choose from, including Macmillan, Bionic Cop, Conchita, Dr Henk, and Miller.

The heroes shoot, use explosives, and fight their way through procedurally generated levels across five worlds. The campaign spans 20 stages and features 17 enemy types, with bosses encountered along the way. Cooperative play is available locally and online.
