A cyberpunk detective adventure set in post-World War III San Francisco, where private investigator Tex Murphy tries to recover memories of the seven years erased from his mind. To piece together his past, he investigates unsolved murders and hidden agendas while searching for lost technologies of Nikola Tesla.

Players explore 3D environments, solve logic puzzles and choose responses in interactive dialogue. Choices shape the story, which branches into multiple paths and alternate endings. The game combines explorable 3D settings with live-action video scenes.
