The Crew 2

The Crew 2 is a sequel to the racing simulator with an open world and various types of transport. You will be able to roam the open world in the USA. The game features various types of transport: cars, planes, and even boats. You can switch between each type of transport at any moment in the game. This is made possible by the new Fast Fav feature. The game includes several modes, ranging from street and professional off-road racing to freestyle with free movement across the maps.

The open-world racing online arcade The Crew 2 was released for PC, PS4, and Xbox One on November 29, 2018. It expands on the ideas laid out in The Crew and offers new gameplay opportunities, types of transport, competitions, and forms of online activity.

In the first year after its release, Crew 2 received a couple of new cars every month, and every three months — new types of races, game modes like "player versus player," and other features in major expansions.

The graphics in The Crew 2 received minor improvements, but the system requirements remained unchanged, as did the physical model of the transport. The developers focused on minimizing loading times for levels and races, as well as switching between transport.

Like the original, The Crew 2 offers a vast open world to explore, combining all types of landscapes and natural-climatic zones: from megacities and suburbs to snowy mountains and deserts, as well as elements of nature — races now take place not only on land but also on water and in the air.

To implement new gameplay opportunities, the original map has been refined — the largest rivers, lakes, and both coasts of the USA are now navigable by motorboat, you can fly anywhere your heart desires, and there are also places designated for acrobatic performances in planes.

The size of the game world and most of the familiar elements from the first game have not changed, but some areas and individual cities have changed their locations. New roads and highways have been added, and some old ones have been refined. The world is divided into four gaming zones — West, South, Midwest, and East Coast, each offering its own set of racing competitions.

The feature of The Crew 2 is the ability to switch at any moment between a car, a plane, and a motorboat, without losing the dynamics of movement or location.

The Crew 2 has a well-developed arcade physics model that allows players to appreciate the differences between a drift and drag car, a monster truck, or a professional racing vehicle. The game engine has been refined to convey the sensations of controlling a motorboat or a single-engine plane.

At the time of its release, The Crew 2 offered four game modes:

For each victory, the player earns fame points, increasing their notoriety, as well as loot boxes containing parts for all vehicles. Upgrading is traditional for arcades - at any moment, you can enter the menu, find the desired car, and then change its engine, suspension, brakes, tires, and more. Similarly, other vehicles can be upgraded.

Each of the modes mentioned above has its own set of cars or vehicles, which has increased compared to the original game. Additional tuning and customization options for vehicles have been introduced.

You can always take a break from climbing the career ladder and engage in exploring the game world - for this, you will also be rewarded with boxes of parts scattered across the map.

Like the original, playing The Crew 2 requires a constant internet connection, which creates ongoing interaction between players. This is a huge part of the gameplay, especially if a team of friends is gathered - players not only cooperate with each other in events but also compete through leaderboards.

At the time of release, The Crew 2 offers cooperative play for four players, and there are special raids for groups, during which players explore the game world together and participate in events, distributing loot boxes among themselves. The group can also start any type or kind of competition to determine who is the fastest in the team.

In the second expansion released in December, a "player versus player" mode was added.
