This mod is designed to redefine combat AI. Originally, the AI was sluggish and slow, especially for bandits, humanoid enemies, and wolves. This mod improves combat AI, making battles more interesting, dynamic, and less predictable. The mod should be compatible with most other mods, even animal behavior mods, but for best results, load it last in your load order.
- Reduces idle time between attacks, power attacks, and dodges. Previously, enemies could attack and then just stand still for several seconds, as if they weren’t really fighting for their lives. Now, enemies fight as if their lives are truly in danger: they chain attacks together, acting quickly and consistently;
- Increases dodge chance. It’s not exactly clear how this works, but enemies should dodge more often, especially creatures prone to dodging, like wolves;
- Increases the chance for regular and power attacks. Now enemies and creatures will attack more frequently: previously, some enemies had a 20% chance to attack and a 30% chance to dodge, which left a 50% chance to just stand idle for up to 3 seconds before trying again. Now, enemies use power attacks more often and quickly take advantage of your stagger to finish you off faster;
- Increases block chance. Block chances have been increased by 100% for nearly all enemies (sometimes even more). This does not mean the chance is 100% now, but rather it has doubled. For example, if a bandit had a 20% chance to block, now it’s 40% or higher per roll;
- Affects most animals and humanoid enemies.
