Sure, you can save the world from Alduin, become the leader of all the factions and an archmage, and then end up in jail for accidentally hitting a chicken or stealing a tomato—but that's where the charm lies. The insane freedom of action simply disconnects you from reality: you ignore quests and spend hours building a house by the lake, adopting children, stealing sweet rolls, or robbing shops, putting buckets on the merchants' heads. Tons of fan mods allow you to rebuild the game endlessly, turning it into anything from a hardcore survival simulator. And let giants kick you into the stratosphere, and horses climb sheer cliffs in defiance of the laws of physics— This world will forever remain the most comfortable place where you just want to live
