Thief: The Dark Project

I can say I'm delighted with this game.

Although I have owned a PC since 1999, and therefore had the opportunity to familiarize myself with this game back then, this did not happen. Moreover, I remember myself at that age, I would not have mastered this game, I lacked perseverance and horror elements, I would have been scared away in every sense)

But time passed and stealth games and immersive sims became one of my favorite genres. And then somehow on YouTube I came across a review of the classic “Thieves” and decided to try it...

Well, the game is great, yes the graphics are old, and the angular models and animation, but all this pales in comparison to the gameplay. Variability at a high level, different arrows and gadgets, make it possible to experiment.

A masterpiece game that is worth the time.

The game boasts mechanics that are not even in many modern projects. A variety of arrows (I especially liked the gas arrow and the arrow with a rope), sound analysis, and parkour (if you can call it that: climbing walls, climbing ropes, jumping on roofs).

Before the game, however, I had to tinker with installing Tfix and all sorts of Russifiers for better immersion. But it was worth it!

The most interesting thing is that the missions are very diverse: from stealing a rod from a rich man to infiltrating the ranks of the Hammers. This diversity makes you want to continue the game, the desire to find out what else the developers will offer.
