TKO is a first-person boxing simulation that puts the fight face-to-face with an opponent in the ring. Players can take on the computer or compete against another player in single- or two-player matches. Split-screen presents the bout from both fighters’ perspectives, while an overhead camera shows their positions in the ring.
Before a fight, players can adjust a boxer’s strengths, including which hand is better, their fighting style, and stamina. The game features a series of contenders with distinct ringside manners. Punches visibly affect the fighters’ faces, leaving them swollen and bruised.
