An atmospheric first-person RPG set in a dark, oppressive version of modern-day Seattle, where vampires secretly rule the politics, streets, and shadow economy. A sequel to the cult classic Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines from 2004, it retains the core ideas of the original: open non-linearity, a deep RPG system, atmospheric noir, and tense dialogue where every word can become a weapon.
The protagonist is a recently turned vampire caught up in a conspiracy that could upset the balance of power among the clans and lead to a large-scale war within the Camarilla. Who is behind the mass Turnings? Why are they destroying the Masquerade, the ancient vampire law that hides their existence from humans? You will have to search for answers while balancing political intrigue, factional conflicts, and your own loss of humanity.
The game mechanics are based on moral dilemmas, stealth, and the clever use of abilities. Each clan offers a unique approach to gameplay: from bestial violence to subtle mind manipulation. There is a lot to explore in the city - dark alleys, nightclubs, elite offices, and old dungeons hide not only enemies, but also secrets. The dialogue system allows you to influence the development of the plot, and leveling up and specialization give a feeling of real role-playing freedom.
Bloodlines 2 is not just a game about vampires. It is a story about power, thirst, betrayal, and internal struggle. In a world where every alliance is shaky, and enemies smile more often than friends, you have to choose: to become a monster that is feared, or a creature that can change the very essence of the Night.
Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 is a captivating story wrapped in not-so-enjoyable gameplay. Just like the original.

Decent game letting you pretend to be a vampire. Rather small, nowhere near the size of BG3 or The Witcher 3. Good storytelling. Detailed main quest line, if rather on rails. Side quests are completely forgettable (a centuries old vampire cleaning up graffiti?!). Never feel like actually a part of the city, always only dealing with the secretive vampire business. As someone expecting a follow up to the original VTMB I found this to be an extreme disappointment.
