A funfair simulation in which the player designs attractions, operates them, and takes rides. Virtual Rides 3 features more than 15 attractions, which can be started and adjusted from a 3D control panel before the player climbs aboard for a ride.
Attractions can be customized with different colors, components, and decorations, while lighting, fog machines, and other effects help stage them. The player can also change the time of day and weather, act as a carnival barker with a microphone, and watch visitors react to their surroundings.
