After the war with the Serpent King Orochi, heroes from the Three Kingdoms and the Warring States era find themselves in a new world threatened by an enormous eight-headed Hydra. The monster defeats most of the warriors, and the survivors join forces with the mysterious Kaguya to change the course of events.
The heroes travel into the past, rescue fallen allies, and forge new alliances. Players fight as characters from a roster of over 120 warriors, collect powerful weapons, and build an army to battle the Hydra. New allies include the ninja Ryu Hayabusa, Achilles, Joan of Arc, Nemea, and Ayane.
