William's classmate Tanya Kennedy has disappeared, and he is the last person who saw her before her disappearance. During conversations, the player does not choose ready-made lines but manually changes the hero's facial expression: moving the eyebrows, lips, and other features, trying to convey the needed emotion. A special system recognizes the resulting grimace, after which the interlocutor reacts to it.
The game starts as a detective story but quickly shifts towards psychological and meta-horror. Relationships with characters, available scenes, and endings depend on facial expressions, and some puzzles are intentionally placed outside the main gameplay.
