Wii Music is a music arcade game about performing and creating musical pieces. In jam sessions, players perform together, and recordings of their performances can be replayed with different camera angles.

The game also includes musical mini-games. In the conducting game, players lead an orchestra of Mii characters and adjust the tempo and dynamics; in the handbells game, they play their notes at the right moment as part of an ensemble. A quiz tests musical hearing with challenges such as arranging note-playing Miis from lowest to highest pitch.
