WizardCraft is a fantasy real-time strategy game about developing a medieval settlement and waging war against AI opponents. In missions, players gather resources, construct buildings, and raise an army that can include knights, archers, dragons, and wizards. Producing troops depends on an infrastructure chain of mines, food supplies, and housing for peasants. Combat-earned upgrade points can improve different units at the Castle, the settlement’s central building; its destruction means defeat.
The game includes missions and two skirmish modes. Normal mode calls for managing an economy with a wide range of resources, while Battle mode uses only wood and gold, making it quicker to build an army and focus on attacks. Skirmishes can be customized, including building and unit limits, and a map editor lets players create battlefields for these modes.
