Wrongworld is a survival adventure in which a character crash-lands on a surreal, low-poly planet and must uncover its mysteries while searching for a way home. The world is populated by strange creatures, and each new game generates a different landscape and random events.

Players gather resources and craft equipment, ranging from tools and campfires to jet packs, potions and a replacement spaceship. They can build and furnish a home, then sell supplies. Permadeath and non-permadeath modes determine whether progress is retained after death, while survival is punctuated by absurd activities such as knocking down trees with a headbutt.
