This open-world flight simulator models aircraft ranging from gliders to airliners and the Space Shuttle. In X-Plane 10 Global, the player pilots an aircraft while accounting for wind and turbulence, and air traffic control guides the flight from engine start to shutdown. The simulator includes 30 aircraft.
Flight handling is calculated using a virtual wind tunnel, while the scenery features roads, cities, and towns. Other aircraft controlled by air traffic control respond to flight conditions, including crosswinds and turbulence. The game supports online flying with other virtual pilots, and its open structure allows components to be changed and compatible add-ons to be used.
