The December patch for Fallout 4 is now live, focusing on bug fixes, stability improvements, and interface enhancements—especially in the Creations section. The developers thanked players for their active feedback, noting that community input was instrumental in identifying key issues. Meanwhile, the rollout of expanded storage on consoles has been pushed to early next year, as the team needs more time to deliver one of the most requested features.

The update addresses several issues related to saves and content loading: the game now properly recognizes the Creation Club when opening old saves, fixes have been made for missing Creations Bundle packages on Steam, and incorrect warnings for disabled (but not deleted) mods have been resolved.

Significant changes have also been made to the user interface: list readability and tooltips have been improved across all platforms, missing UI elements have been restored, “Top Results” sorting is back, and issues with keyboard input and navigation when quickly switching between menus and stores have been fixed.

Special attention was given to stability: crashes related to loading Creations, idling in menus, logging out, and starting a new game have been resolved, as well as freezes when exiting the app.

The patch also improves support for ultrawide monitors and Steam Deck, fixing UI alignment and performance spikes. Texts and localizations have been refined—special characters now display correctly, and the Anniversary upgrade window now scales properly in German, French, and Spanish versions. The developers promise to share more news about upcoming patches and new content early next year.

By the way, the first reviews for Fallout’s second TV season have just started to appear.
