In Hell Is Us, you need to find 16 different Drone Modules to earn the Tech-Savvy achievement. You can find them throughout the game world — for example, on the bodies of OMSIF soldiers or during investigations. The hero’s drone can use four modules at the same time, granting access to special combat abilities. Here’s where to look for them.

There are 8 unique devices in total, but each has an upgraded elite variant, which makes 16 modules altogether. All modules are available to collect at any time, so you won’t miss them even after completing the main storyline.

In Hell Is Us, the player has many tools, but the drone is one of the most useful. It runs on an almost infinite power source and can be equipped with a large number of tools. As you progress, you’ll find new modules that allow you to further customize your combat style. You can install up to four modules at once, granting you an active ability for each slot. Initially, the drone comes with only the basic Distraction module, and you’ll have to find the rest on your own.

Unlike glyphs, drone abilities are tied to cooldowns rather than limbic energy. This means that after using an ability, you simply have to wait until it becomes available again, with no need to manage other resources. Keep in mind: only one drone ability can be active at a time. If you try to use a new ability before the previous one ends, it will interrupt the current one and immediately go on cooldown.

Some drone modules are focused exclusively on dealing damage, and their effects cannot be replicated by glyphs or standard weapon attacks. For example, the Forward Charge module allows you to break through a group of enemies in a straight line. Other modules are focused on defensive functions, such as blocking or neutralizing damage from ranged attacks.

Since Hell Is Us emphasizes exploration, it’s no surprise that there are so many drone modules and their locations are well hidden. If you want to increase your hero’s effectiveness, you’ll have to search thoroughly. Each ability serves its own purpose, though some will be more useful than others. Be sure to test them all to find out which ones suit you best. Although every drone module is available in both standard and elite versions, it often happens that you’ll get the elite variants before the standard ones, making the latter less useful.

Drone modules are listed below in alphabetical order: first comes the regular version of the module, followed by the elite version. All collected modules can be viewed in the Inventory / Drone Items menu.

Go through the next door on the left, which also requires a key. Defeat the enemy, then open the door. Directly opposite will be a third door, also requiring a key. Continue further to the area with the structure illuminated in red. Passing by the enemies on the right, you’ll be able to pick up Lymbic Staff — Sorrow, V and the note — Mysterious Saying. In Senedra Forest, from the APC, follow the right wall around the hill to the ruins at the top, where the blue lymbic door is located.
