GSC Game World has unveiled another detail about the upcoming Patch 1.6 for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl. With the update's release, NPCs will now scavenge loot from fallen mutants. A short clip showcasing this new feature was shared on the company's social media channels.

The developers also published a new ambience video on the game's YouTube channel, featuring stalkers resting by a campfire near the "Duga" radar station.

According to the community manager, the patch is slated for release between September 22nd and 28th. It will add night vision devices, a new side quest, and new weapon modifications. The update will also overhaul stash contents and more. Full patch notes will be released after the update goes live.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl is available on PC (Steam, GOG, and Epic Games Store) and Xbox Series X/S. GSC Game World is currently working on a PS5 version of the game, scheduled for release on November 20th, as well as free updates and paid DLC. The DLCs are without trailers, screenshots or announced titles as of yet.
