In Dragon's Wake: Dragon's Dogma 2 Walkthrough Guide
This guide offers an in-depth look at the «In Dragon's Wake» quest in Dragon's Dogma 2, guiding you through the epic journey that follows the aftermath of a dragon attack. You'll find detailed instructions on how to navigate the devastated landscapes, rebuild alliances, and confront the lingering threats left by the dragon's rampage. We'll also provide strategic tips to help you manage the complex decisions and combat challenges that arise as you work to restore order and peace to the affected region.
How to complete the quest In Dragon's Wake
Follow the Lonely Path until you reach a fork. To the left, the road leads to a bridge, and to the right, there is an elevation. Inspect this place and collect coins (500).
When you find yourself in the burnt village, don't rush to the merchant. You currently have little money, and this can be done later. Head to the well and watch the cutscene, after which control will switch to the town's defender.
Simply run at the dragon and attack its paws until another video starts. The hero will wake up in Ulrika's house — the girl will briefly tell about what happened to Arisen on the night the dragon attacked the village.
Which side quests can be completed
Outside the house, Gregor will meet you and ask to go with him to the capital. However, before that, don't forget to complete a few additional tasks: Medicament Predicament, Nesting Troubles, and Brothers Brave and Timid.
How to find money and chests in Melve
We also recommend inspecting every surviving building. In literally all of them, you'll find a bag of gold, and in some, even several bags. In addition, here you can also find regular chests, for example, in the tavern on the first floor, in Ulrika's house (a shard of awakening stone), and in a small shed opposite the tavern.
How to find chests on the way to Vernworth
When you're ready, return to Gregor and tell him you're setting off. Along the way, numerous enemies await you, as well as regular chests and plenty of resources. Don't forget to look around and gather everything useful.
At the border post, inspect the tents and find several chests. Right after this location, you'll come across a monster lair, marked with an exclamation mark (opposite there's also a cave exit and a tied-up ladder, but you can't get there now). Defeat the enemies at the stone ruins and inspect them — in the bushes, you'll find a iron chest.
How to defeat the cyclops
Upon reaching a dead end, a cutscene with a cyclops will start. It's quite easy to kill: attack the creature's legs until the first health bar drops to zero. When this happens, there's a good chance the creature will fall to the ground. Hit its head to deal increased damage.
How to clear the path
Since the passage is blocked, Gregor will ask you to clear it. To do this, grab any stone and throw it at the wall from where water is trickling.
At that moment, a wagon will arrive, which can take you to the capital. This time, you don't have to pay anything, but in the future, travel between cities will cost — 100 gold. If you love traveling and exploring the open world, you can make your way to the city on your own.
To skip the journey, sit in the wagon and press the «C» key on PC. Along the way, you'll still have to fight a small group of enemies, but soon you'll find yourself in the capital. Listen to the captain and watch the cutscene, after which the mission will be completed.
