Cooler Master Unveils MasterFlow: GPU Blower Accessory Promises Lower CPU Temps
Cooler Master has officially unveiled the MasterFlow, a new blower-style accessory designed to sit atop a graphics card and expel hot air directly outside the PC case. Announced at Computex 2026, the MasterFlow aims to address a common issue with modern GPU cooling by redirecting exhaust away from the CPU area.
Most current graphics cards use open cooling systems with dual or triple fans and pass-through heatsinks. While these designs efficiently cool the GPU itself, they tend to push hot air upwards — right into the CPU cooler or liquid cooling radiator. The MasterFlow offers a solution by occupying an unused expansion slot above the GPU, collecting this hot exhaust, and using a small radial fan to blow it out through the rear I/O panel.
Cooler Master claims the MasterFlow can reduce CPU temperatures by four to six degrees Celsius. This modest but noticeable drop could be significant for compact cases or high-end builds where thermal headroom is tight and every degree counts. The accessory is also adjustable, sliding back and forth to accommodate a range of GPU lengths.
Initially, Cooler Master plans to install the MasterFlow in its own prebuilt systems. There are currently no details on retail availability or pricing for standalone sales.
The concept of blower-style cooling is not new — reference cards such as Nvidia's GeForce GTX 10-series once used similar designs to exhaust heat outside the case. Over time, manufacturers shifted to open coolers for better GPU performance, but at the cost of increased CPU area temperatures. MasterFlow attempts to combine the best of both worlds by leaving the factory GPU cooler untouched and adding a removable module to control exhaust direction.
