Apple closes iMazing method for reinstalling removed App Store apps

Users trying to restore removed App Store apps through iMazing are now running into HTTP 403 errors, and the block appears to be rolling out gradually rather than hitting everyone at once.

Before the change, iMazing could restore deleted IPA files as long as the user signed in with an Apple ID that had downloaded the app at least once. That path now appears to be blocked: reports say Apple rejects the authorization request and prevents iMazing from accessing purchases.

The same issue is not limited to iMazing. It also affects other third-party tools, including ipa_downloader and 3uTools, which relied on the same app-recovery flow. Reports say Apple has changed the authorization and key-retrieval system used for iPhone app restoration. They also say the company revoked archival authorization tokens and certificates, which blocks app recovery from the media library.

For now, already installed apps should keep working if they are not deleted and auto-updates are turned off. Apple has not officially announced any changes to app access.
