Claudemy Turns Claude Code Into a Mini-Course Creator

Arkadiy Andrienko

Creator Assaf Kipnis published the project on GitHub; Claudemy starts by generating a sample lesson and waits for the user's reaction before writing and recording the rest of the course. The free Claude Code skill then researches a topic and turns it into about 12 short audio lessons. It draws on 20 to 40 web pages, including practitioner material, official documentation, research summaries, and differing viewpoints.

Each lesson lasts around two minutes and is presented as a conversation between two hosts rather than a lecture. Every lesson also comes with a card containing a three-line summary, areas of agreement among sources, a practical exercise, and links for further reading. The audio is saved as MP3 files, and users can get a playbook that collects one rule from each lesson in a single file.

For natural audio with two voices, users can connect an ElevenLabs API key through the `ELEVENLABS_API_KEY` environment variable or enter it in the plugin's setup. Without a key, Claudemy uses built-in macOS voices, which are free but sound simpler.

Claudemy runs locally inside Claude Code, saves the public web pages it researches in a workspace on the user's computer, and has no server or analytics. The skill is free and MIT-licensed, though users may separately pay for their Claude plan and any ElevenLabs credits.

Would short, conversational audio lessons help you learn a new subject, or do you prefer studying from text?
