New Gameplay for Morrowind Remake in Skyrim Engine Released, Devs Share Progress Update
Skyblivion isn’t the only fan remake being developed on the Skyrim engine. A new 20-minute gameplay video has surfaced for Skywind, the ambitious fan-made reimagining of Morrowind. The footage showcases the quest "Rescue Joncis Dalomax," giving players a look at the updated combat system, visual effects, weather system, and lighting.
The video concludes with a development update: the team has finished work on all core game art and writing, voiced nearly all NPCs, and created models for most major creatures. Despite steady progress, the developers are still actively recruiting artists, composers, and other contributors.
Skywind has been in development since around 2012, but there’s still no release date. The project will be free to download, though it will require owned copies of both Morrowind and Skyrim Special Edition to play.
