Hytale is a sandbox RPG with survival elements in the vein of Minecraft. The project's creators are the managers of the popular Hypixel server, who decided to develop their ideas into a standalone game. The project entered early access in early 2026, and numerous user-created modifications have already been released. We'll cover the most interesting of these in this article.

Hytale was announced back in 2018. Riot Games, known for its League of Legends franchise, was initially expected to publish the game. However, in 2025, the company shut down development, after which the project's creators purchased the intellectual property rights and released the game themselves. A set of two biomes from the books of H.P. Lovecraft: the Primordial Abyss and the Wastes of Hastur. The mod is currently not yet complete, but you can already test the new regions in-game.

A modification that simplifies the process of planting new trees. Thanks to it, saplings can be used directly on logs. This will allow you to quickly restore felled forests.

In the regular version of Hytale, chests must be placed near workbenches to access them. This mod allows you to bypass this limitation and pick up items from a greater distance.

The range can be adjusted in the config.txt file, which will appear after installing the mod. There you can change the following parameters:

A mod that allows you to fish in local bodies of water. You'll need fishing rods. Watch the float — when it dives, pull the line toward you.

This modification, once installed, allows you to use three types of bags to carry items. This will significantly increase your inventory size. Crafting them requires leather.

There's also an alternative version of this mod with bags that immediately sort resources into categories: wood, stone, food, and so on.

Allows you to mine the entire contents of an ore vein with a single keystroke. A great way to avoid routine tasks and quickly obtain a large amount of valuable resources.

A new tool that allows you to attract various objects from a long distance. This is useful when gathering resources, such as chopping down trees.

Adds the Amulet of Return to the game. This item allows you to return to any location.Return to the designated point. If it's missing or incorrectly set, you'll be teleported to your respawn location.

For the mod to work, you need to install the Spellbook plugin.

This allows you to quickly find the item you need without having to check all the existing tabs. This is especially convenient late in the game.

This mod is related to sorting available recipes.

This modification allows you to quickly delete unnecessary items.

A mod that allows you to hold almost all flashlights in one hand, except for the largest ones.
