A turn-based tactical strategy game set across the fronts of World War II, where the player commands a group of troops through combat missions. Victory calls for combined-arms tactics: setting ambushes, pinning enemy forces with suppressive fire, flanking armored units and assaulting strongpoints. Some missions provide access to artillery and air support; troop morale and the use of reconnaissance to spot threats also matter.
The game includes asynchronous online multiplayer through the PBEM++ system, a scenario editor, and support for user-made scenarios and mods. Missions require attention to objectives and unit positioning, while the editor allows players to create their own missions and alter the game.
