Often in role-playing games you can find a turn-based combat system: in this case, the gamer is always in the same conditions with the enemy, and on the battlefield the outcome of the battle is decided not by reaction speed, but by tactics, the number of characters in the team and the player’s ability to correctly distribute the power of his heroes during battles.
In tactical RPGs, combat takes much longer than in regular role-playing games: you have to think about each move for a long time, because otherwise you can quickly lose all your characters. Turn-based RPGs can take tens or even hundreds of hours to complete.
