Final Fantasy VII is a third-person role-playing game in the anime and fantasy style. In Midgar, a city controlled by the mega-conglomerate Shinra Inc., Mako Reactor No. 1 was blown up by the rebel group AVALANCHE. This group was secretly formed to rebel against Shinra Inc., an organization that is absorbing Mako energy, destroying the planet's natural resources. Cloud, a former member of Shinra Inc.'s elite combat unit and soldier, participated in the explosion of the Mako reactor.
