Crimson Desert

A magnificent game, respect to the developers who listen to their players! Top marks, game of the year!!!

An interesting game, good music, great combat, lots of quests and weapons. It's missing a teleporter because the map is so big.

It's hard for me to write a short review of a game I've spent over 300 hours playing on Steam, which is currently my 2026 Game of the Year (and will likely remain so; I don't see any competitors for myself this year). Since I value gameplay above all else in games, I give it the highest rating (I never give it a 10, as no game is perfect). For those who prefer a purely story-driven experience, it's better to replay The Witcher or something similar.

The gameplay is so rich that I can't think of any comparable titles. There are hundreds, perhaps thousands, of mechanics. The world is huge and very interesting. It's also quite vertical, which greatly increases the already enormous scale.

A true Holy Grail for anyone tired of bland, run-of-the-mill games, which game journalists and casuals alike rushed to pelt with rotten tomatoes simply because it doesn't have warning yellow paint on the walls, and the developers dared to force them to use more than two buttons in combat! This game is a crazy, but incredibly addictive single-player hybrid of Zelda and RDR 2 on steroids, where you completely forget about the main storyline for the opportunity to spend hours scurrying around the titanic, detailed map of Pyvel, solving tricky puzzles of the Abyss, setting up a personal Graymane camp, and dressing your battle cat in a musketeer costume. The controls are just awful! It's a clone of Huevers Genshin Impact. We're collecting butterfly ore and can't deliver it. I think they'll fix it in a couple of years. It was made by the same developer, seriously! The price is 381 rubles. I bought the licensed version and nothing more. I don't know where all the ratings are coming from, but the potential is huge and it's 60% raw.
