A strategy game about the Allied invasion of Normandy and the campaign to liberate Europe during World War II. Its single-player mode spans three campaigns and 12 missions, in which players prepare troops, devise battle plans, and lead operations ranging from the landing at Omaha Beach and the airborne attack on Sainte-Mère-Église to the capture of Cherbourg, Operation Cobra, and the Battle of the Falaise Pocket.
The game features more than 60 types of historically accurate units and vehicles, including infantry, paratroopers, artillery, tanks, transports, and aircraft. Resistance forces can scout landing areas, while Allied air power helps counter German attacks. Multiplayer supports up to eight players across three modes and 12 maps, and an editor lets players create maps for multiplayer.
