An expansion for Europa Universalis: Rome that adds political intrigue and missions to the historical strategy game. In republics, characters pursue personal agendas and belong to parties, while the Senate passes laws that can permit or restrict state actions. Monarchies and tribes have courts where courtiers may seek to replace the ruler.
The Senate or a religious power can assign missions tied to national ambitions. Players can also enact decisions at different levels, including granting citizenship to regions and provinces in cooperation with regional governors. The expansion revises the military AI and overhauls the interface.
