The expansion's storyline continues the "Saga of the Godless Worlds," which began in Dawntrail. The Warrior of Light, along with old allies, tries to stop an icy storm that threatens to destroy the world.
In Evercold, players can expect two new classes — a tank and a ranged fighter, an increase in the maximum level from 100 to 110, new cities, zones, dungeons, trials, raids, new gear items, and crafting recipes. There is a new alliance raid dedicated to Neon Genesis Evangelion, timed to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the series.
