Post-apocalyptic
The gaming setting of post-apocalypse transports players to a world that has experienced a global or local (if the place is isolated) catastrophe. During this event, nearly all of the world's population or a specific location perished. The survivors establish their new orders and laws. The entire world is hostile to the player: among the survivors, there are hostile factions, locations are filled with monsters, and the Earth itself has changed and become filled with natural traps (predatory plants, radiation, energy emissions, acid rains, etc.). Such a world is depicted in action games, shooters, role-playing games, and their hybrids.
