Steampunk
Steampunk is a gaming setting that came to video games from literature and is a subgenre of dystopian fiction. Steampunk originated as a deviation from cyberpunk and therefore shares similar traits. The action takes place either in Victorian England or in a fictional world resembling it. Society in this setting either has not developed spiritually or has degenerated. People are driven by base desires and passions. Against this backdrop, steam technologies are actively developing, including machinery, transport, and weaponry.
