A tank platoon simulation in which the player commands four M1 tanks and their sixteen crew members. Orders can be issued to the whole platoon or to individual tanks, and the player can switch between vehicles to take the role of commander, gunner, or driver. Hills and ridges provide cover on the battlefield.
Each crew member has distinct skills and a personality, and abilities improve through combat experience. The player decides who receives promotions or decorations. Battles take place at different times of day and in varied weather, with options for single engagements or a campaign from beginning to end. Equipment includes laser rangefinders, depleted-uranium penetrators, wire-guided missiles, reactive armor, and air support.
