MECHBORN

A card roguelike where the player faces a global kaiju invasion, controlling combat mechs and their pilots. The game abandons the classic card hand and uses a "conveyor" mechanic, where the player constantly operates seven cards, and each played card is immediately replaced with a new one. This decision makes battles dynamic and encourages thoughtful positioning of support cards that unlock additional effects and enhance synergy with pilot abilities. Decks are formed through free modular assembly of mechs: different parts add new cards and change the playstyle, while assembling sets provides additional bonuses to survivability.

The player has access to three unique mechs with different combat directions, as well as twelve pilots, each with their own abilities and storyline. Their skills are enhanced as cards are played, allowing for deep combinations and revealing the interaction between the pilot and the mech throughout many playthroughs.

World exploration is built on an adaptive progression system without fixed routes. The player freely moves across three continents, where events, enemies, and opportunities change from run to run. During the process, one can interact with factions, find traders, improve or remove cards, capture territories, search for ancient research complexes, and enhance mechs using special modifiers, always considering the limited fuel supply.
