PS4 — четвёртая игровая консоль от компании Sony. Появилась в продаже в России 28 ноября 2013 года. Работает на операционной системе Orbis, которая является модифицированной версией FreeBSD 9.0. В консоль установлены 8-ядерный процессор и видеокарта от AMD. Оперативная память составляет 8 ГБ. Новый геймпад DualShock 4 способен похвастаться гироскопом, акселерометром, тачпадом и подсветкой. Также в качестве геймпада можно использовать портативную консоль PS Vita. На PS4 работает сервис PS Now (бывший Gaikai), который способен обеспечить обратную совместимость с играми для PS3, PS2 и PS1. Приставка не оборудована какой-либо системой защиты от подержанных игр.
